🐉Currently In China!!!:🐉 I am currently in China with my herbal medicine teacher, studying with his teacher, Professor HuĂĄng HuĂĄng 黄煌 at the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. I will return to clinic on November 10th. If you are looking for an appointment upon my return, please feel welcome to check my Janeapp periodically as I will be preoccupied during my stay in China, and you will likely find an opening before I do! Thank you so much!

🌾A Special Announcement:🌾 After 10-years of dreaming about opening a healing collective, the time has come, and I am so excited to welcome you all to Rising Earth Collective in Summerland, B.C. My family first arrived in Summerland in the late 1800s, and it is so special for me to return to this part of the valley that is such a large part of my childhood and my ancestry. My practice remains in West Kelowna until the end of 2025, and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone who has booked in after my trip to China. In 2026, my practice will be fully relocated to Summerland, where I will be offering acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese bodywork, and Chinese energy work (medical qigong). I have been blessed with a beautiful practice in West Kelowna, with the best patients a practitioner could ask for, all travelling between Osoyoos to Kelowna to come see me. I am so excited to have a central location for you all, and that this space offers me the ability to continue having private sessions while doing more community-style acupuncture for folks to receive more regular treatments, and at a reduced cost. Chinese medicine is a form of healthcare with a several thousand year history. Acupuncture and herbal medicine compose two branches of Chinese medicine; they are used to prevent disease by maintaining a good state of health, and to treat acute or chronic disease. Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles into specific points on the body to regulate the flow of energy (qĂŹ æ°Ł) and Blood  (xuĂš èĄ€) to restores imbalances and alleviate pain. Chinese herbal medicine utilizes classical formulas, often modified to suit one's individual condition. Rooted in Daoist philosophy and observations of nature, Chinese medicine provides an ancient outlook on today's modern problems.

Kylie is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCM.P.), registered in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners of British Columbia (CTCMA). In Kylie’s practice she aims to collaborate with you to achieve your health goals. Your body holds the innate wisdom to heal itself, but we could all use a helping hand from time to time. Kylie uses acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to give your body support and guidance to initiate its healing process.

The guiding philosophy for Kylie’s practice is to provide a safe, inclusive, compassionate, and empowering space for individuals to be seen and heard, to decompress, and to blossom into their greatest vision for themselves. Kylie has general practice which tends to focus on digestive health, mental and emotional wellbeing, gynecological health, stress, fatigue, pain, and the maintenance of good health.

The herbal formulas used within Kylie’s practice come from the ShānghĂĄn ZĂĄbĂŹng LĂčn ć‚·ćŻ’é›œç—…è«– which is the works of Zhāng ZhĂČngjǐng ćŒ”ä»Čæ™Ż, a Chinese physician from the Han dynasty. She studies the LĂłngshā XuĂ©pĂ i éŸ™ç ‚ćŠæŽŸ lineage with Dr. Eran Even, Dr.TCM, Ph.D. who teaches JÄ«ngfāng 經æ–č Classical Herbal Medicine as taught by Professor HuĂĄng HuĂĄng 黄煌, his doctoral advisor from the International Jingfang Institute of the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.

The style of acupuncture that Kylie most often utilizes is called Neoclassical Acupuncture. This style involves the palpation of the abdomen and acupuncture channels of the arms and legs to assess how the qì is flowing within the body. This allows one to find areas where the qì isn’t flowing optimally. The body is the guide for treatment and it gives instant feedback after needle insertion so we can assess how things are changing in real time. This system often uses minimal needles which is wonderful for needle sensitive folks, and often patients report dropping into a deeper state with this style.
