🐉China Study Trip:🐉 Exciting news y’all! It’s looking like I will be in China this October with my herbal medicine teacher to study with his teacher, Professor Huáng Huáng 黄煌 at the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. This is a huge privilege and Dr. Huáng is an honorific doctor and one of the foremost experts in the use of Classical Formulas/Methods (Jīngfāng 經方) from Shānghán Lùn 傷寒論 and Jīnguì Yàolüè 金匱要略. I will update my schedule for online booking once our travel dates are confirmed. If you are on herbs, let’s make sure to get you a refill before I leave!
🌸New Patients:🌸 I have two options for initial appointments: 75-minute appointments which are suitable for internal issues (e.g. digestion, fertility, gynecology, mental wellness, respiratory, etc.) or condensed 55-minute appointments which are suitable for muscular aches and pains, acute situations such as tension headaches, or for labour preparation. If you cannot get an appointment for a few weeks, please put yourself on my waitlist or send me an email (kylie@kylierodger.com) so that I can watch for openings for you!
🌼Existing Patients:🌼 If you’re unable to get in for a couple of weeks or are having an acute situation, please put yourself on my waitlist or send me a message so I can put you on the waitlist! Appointments do open up, so I will do my best to get you in sooner.
🌻Community Acupuncture at Cedar and Soul in Penticton:🌻Community acupuncture takes place in an open room with other individuals also receiving acupuncture treatments. This style includes less time talking at the start of your treatment and more time relaxing on the table, dropping all those daily tensions. The collective energy of several individuals entering a healing state in the same space is unique to community acupuncture, similar to a group meditation. To book, please toggle to the Cedar & Soul location! Our summer offerings are July 16th, August 13th, and September 17th!
Welcome to my online booking site!
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Chinese medicine is a form of healthcare with a several thousand year history. Acupuncture and herbal medicine compose two branches of Chinese medicine; they are used to prevent disease by maintaining a good state of health, and to treat acute or chronic disease. Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles into specific points on the body to regulate the flow of energy (qì 氣) and Blood (xuè 血) to restores imbalances and alleviate pain. Chinese herbal medicine utilizes classical formulas, often modified to suit one's individual condition. Rooted in Daoist philosophy and observations of nature, Chinese medicine provides an ancient outlook on today's modern problems.
